This Is My Story. This Is My Song: Lineage & Legacy Storytelling Cypher This is my story. This is my song. A series of intimate Lineage & Legacy storytelling cyphers held in meaningful places-- where Black memory, love, joy, lineage, and becoming are spoken aloud and held in community. These gatherings are not panels or performances. They are cyphers: circles of shared breath, story, song and presence. Guided by the Lineage & Legacy Rememberings Deck, we will gather in small group to commune, remember, and speak what lives in us — with care, consent, and deep listening. Each cypher centers a theme. Each place holds meaning. Each story matters. Your ticket includes a Rememberings Deck, which will be mailed to you. About Recording & Care Lineage & Legacy storytelling cyphers are part of an ongoing archival practice rooted in Black oral tradition, memory, and care. Some gatherings may include optional audio or visual recording to support the creation of living archives — not for content extraction, but for preservation, remembrance, and future generations. Participation in recording is always a choice. Before any recording is shared or made public, participants will be informed about how their story may be used and will have the opportunity to offer consent, set boundaries, or opt out entirely. Stories are held with intention, respect, and reverence. This is legacy work. Not content creation.
