Brittany Janay

Healing Centered Coach | People, Culture and Equity Strategist | Facilitator

Brittany Janay is Black woman, wife and mother, equity & justice consultant & strategist, writer, speaker, and healing-centered coach. At her core, she is “wonder,” what she describes as the balance of faith, creativity, critical self-reflection and possibility.

When asked, “what is your why?” for engaging in social change work, Brittany’s answer (in the tune of Tank & The Bangas) is, “I love Black folks.”

Brittany Janay (she/her) is the Founder of In Loving Accountability Coaching & Consulting, where she partners with leaders and changemakers to embody leadership as a love practice—bridging the gap between their values and how they show up in the world.

With over a decade of experience in equity, inclusion, and people strategy, Brittany has held senior leadership roles at global consulting firms, including Be Equitable, where she led the organization’s transition to a four-day workweek and designed an equity-centered Performance Enablement program, and The Winters Group, Inc., where she expanded frameworks at the intersection of social justice and corporate DEI. Today, she continues her impact locally as a Lead Strategist with NLD Strategic, supporting organizations like Baltimore City Public Schools.

Brittany is an inaugural fellow in the Drs. Elmer and Joanne Martin Social Change Fellowship, a partnership between CLLCTVLY and UPenn, deepening her commitment to transformative leadership and community-driven change.

A proud Howard University and Georgetown University alum, Brittany is a certified Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) administrator and has served on multiple advisory boards, including Baltimore City Public Schools’ BeMORE Me Initiative and the Equity Brain Trust. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for BMore Empowered.

Brittany is also the creator of Liberated Love Notes, an affirmation card deck and podcast centering Black healing, joy, and resistance. Rooted in **Baltimore—land stolen from the Susquehannock and Piscataway peoples—she finds love and grounding in community alongside her husband, Randy, and their blended family.

I want to thank you for all of the support and guidance over the past two years in our work and partnership on DEI.

You were highly motivating and an integral part in our growth and how we have really focused and moved to action.  I can’t thank you enough.
